Job summary

Laurel Group, a long-standing Victorian facilities services provider, is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor. You will oversee day-to-day operations across multiple client sites, lead frontline teams, and maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, proven client relationship skills, and the ability to manage schedules and budgets. A current Australian driver licence and working rights are essential, with weekend/late-hour

Qualifications

  • Experience as Cleaning Supervisor or similar role in facilities/cleaning
  • Current Australian Driver Licence and full working rights
  • Ability to obtain National Police Check and any other clearances
  • Strong leadership, communication and client relationships skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations across allocated client sites
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding promptly to service requests
  • Supervise cleaning teams and coach staff to achieve service excellence
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits
  • Monitor labour costs and operational budgets with Rostering Coordinator
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees
  • Investigate customer complaints, incidents and service issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor operational KPIs and prepare reports as required
  • Support new site mobilisation and onboarding of new contracts
  • Contribute to tender and new business support activities
  • Support Laurel's social procurement commitments and workforce diversity initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies
  • Support business growth by maintaining high levels of client satisfaction

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our growing operations team. This is a hands-on, field-based role, responsible for managing client relationships, supervising service delivery across multiple sites, leading frontline teams, and ensuring our standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction are consistently met. This is an important role in supporting Laurel's continued growth, with real opportunity to contribute beyond day-to-day operations.

Key Skills & Attributes
  • Previous experience in a Cleaning Supervisor, Operations Supervisor or similar role (cleaning or facilities management industry preferred)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sites and competing priorities
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using workplace systems such as HR/rostering and job management platforms (e.g. Employment Hero, AroFlo), or the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Knowledge of OH&S requirements and quality management systems
  • Ability to problem-solve and make sound operational decisions on the go
  • Current Australian Driver Licence
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and any other clearances required for our client sites
  • Willingness and flexibility to work variable hours, including regular weekends and late nights
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations across allocated client sites

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements and OH&S legislationManage staff performance, coaching and workforce planning across sites
  • Monitor labour costs and operational budgets, working closely with the Rostering Coordinator
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees
  • Investigate customer complaints, incidents and service issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor operational KPIs and prepare reports as required
  • Support new site mobilisation and the onboarding of new contracts as Laurel's operations grow
  • Contribute to tender and new business support activities as required
  • Support Laurel's social procurement commitments and workforce diversity initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Support business growth by maintaining high levels of client satisfaction
