Job summary

Ventia are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning & Guest Services Manager to lead our cleaning operations supporting Australia’s Defence community. This leadership role drives guest services delivery, safety compliance, and operational excellence across defence sites.

The position requires 3+ years in a managerial role in cleaning or a related field with relevant qualifications. You will lead rostering, budgeting, and capacity planning while partnering with Training to empower your team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a managerial role in cleaning or similar field.
• Diploma/degree in facilities or hospitality management (advantageous).
• Certification in cleaning management or related discipline (advantageous).
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to accommodation & cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and implementation of guest and cleaning service strategies and action plans.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment for the team.
• Provide leadership and technical support to Supervisors and Managers on operations and people management.
• Respond to client enquiries and handle questions or complaints quickly and professionally.
• Handle budgeting and ensure the team runs efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Regular reporting on performance and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with Training Coordinator to develop and empower your team.
• Employee rostering ensuring service requirements are achieved and planned variances met.

About The Role

Ventia are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning & Guest Services Manager to lead our cleaning operations.

Key Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

About You

• 3+ years’ experience in a managerial role in cleaning or a similar field
• A diploma or degree in facilities management, Hospitality Management, business administration, or a related field (advantageous)
• Certification in cleaning management or a related discipline (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to accommodation & cleaning
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police
