Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is hiring for a casual cleaner at Gertrude Abbott, Surry Hills. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness in residents' rooms and common areas, supporting a caring team in a not-for-profit aged care setting.

Key duties include team-based cleaning, safety-focused practices, and courteous interactions with residents and families. Experience is preferred; training and a values-based workplace are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.
• Able to work well in a team and maintain professional boundaries.

As a member of the Cleaning team at Gertrude Abbott Surry Hills, you will be providing high quality cleaning services for our residents within our residential aged care home, ensuring residents rooms and common areas are clean and presentable.

About the Role:

• Work as part of a team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in our residents rooms
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a co operative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Previous experience working as a cleaner ideally
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• A reliable team player
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
