Catholic Healthcare Limited is looking for a caring Cleaning Assistant at St Catherine's Bathurst. You will join a team delivering high-quality cleaning in our residential aged care home, keeping resident rooms and common areas spotless and welcoming.

The role requires teamwork, reliability and a compassionate approach to elderly residents. Shift patterns include Week 1 and Week 2 rosters, with part-time hours and a supportive Not-for-Profit employer.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a care setting is preferred.
• Kind heart with genuine passion for elderly care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Location - St Catherine's Bathurst

• Permanent Part-time (Cleaning Assistant Week 1: Thursday 7am-3pm, Sunday 7.30am-1pm, Week 2 Tuesday 7am-3pm, Thursday 7am-3pm, Sunday 7.30am-1pm Laundry Assistant Friday 8am-4pm)

• Pay rate – $33.20 per hour + superannuation

• Not-for-profit employer, so pay less tax!

As a member of the Cleaning team at St Catherine's Bathurst, you will be providing high quality cleaning services for our residents within our residential aged care home, ensuring residents rooms and common areas are clean and presentable.

About the Role:

• Work as part of a team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in our residents rooms
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a co operative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Previous experience working as a cleaner ideally
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• A reliable team player
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
