Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cleaning schedules to maximise efficiency and meet client requirements.
• Respond to and resolve client complaints or concerns promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the area.
• Liaise between cleaning teams and clients to communicate expectations and updates.
• Participate in staff training and development to enhance team skills.
• Hands-on responsibility for periodical jobs.

About the role

White Spot Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Cleaning Area Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Adelaide SA. As Cleaning Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing cleaning operations across a designated area, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and managing a team of cleaning professionals. This role is pivotal to our operational success and directly impacts the quality of service we provide to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of cleaning staff, including scheduling, training, performance management and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
• Conduct regular inspections of cleaning areas to ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate orders to maintain adequate stock
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules that maximise efficiency whilst meeting client requirements
• Respond to and resolve client complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, incidents and service delivery
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across all cleaning operations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the designated area
• Liaise between cleaning teams and clients to communicate expectations, updates and any service modifications
• Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Cleaning Supervisor, Cleaning Manager or similar supervisory role within the cleaning services industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and equipment appropriate to various environments
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices within the cleaning industry
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complaints professionally and constructively
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport to visit multiple cleaning sites
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings or evenings as operational requirements dictate
