Job summary

Respect Cohuna Village in Cohuna, Victoria is looking for Casual Cleaning & Laundry Services Assistants to join a warm, dedicated team. You’ll help keep spaces fresh, hygienic and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff.

Casual shifts are offered across weekdays, weekends and public holidays, with training and a supportive, not-for-profit environment that values kindness, reliability and pride in work. Experience in laundry or cleaning helps, and eligibility for an Aged Care Worker Screening

Qualifications

• Experience or training in laundry operations or similar support services.
• Experience or training in cleaning operations or similar support services. Knowledge of infection prevention and safe chemical handling practices.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in residential aged care or a similar environment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cleaning services throughout the home.
• Wash, dry, fold and distribute residents' personal laundry and linen.
• Maintain infection prevention and hygiene standards.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Support a comfortable, clean, homelike environment for residents.

About The Role

As a Casual Cleaning & Laundry Services Assistant, you'll be responsible for delivering both laundry and cleaning services to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

This Varied Role Includes

• Providing high-quality cleaning services throughout the home.
• Washing, drying, folding and distributing residents' personal laundry and linen.
• Maintaining infection prevention and hygiene standards.
• Safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Supporting a comfortable, clean and homelike environment for residents.
• Working collaboratively with the broader care and hospitality team.

Essential Requirements

• Experience or training in laundry operations or similar support services.
• Experience or training in cleaning operations or similar support services.Knowledge of infection prevention and safe chemical handling practices.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in residential aged care or a similar environment is highly regarded.
• Availability to work casual shifts across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
