Job summary

City Facilities Management is seeking cleaners to support Goodstart Early Learning in Newcastle. You will help maintain clean, safe classrooms and common areas after hours, ensuring a welcoming learning environment.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a smartphone for work comms. Australian work rights are required; driving may be helpful. Police or Working with Children checks are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Driver’s licence and own car are preferred.
• Willing to obtain a Police Check or Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Clean activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like handles and switches.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean doors and windows.
• Safely use chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling.
• Follow all OH&S policies and procedures.

• Reliable Hours: Monday to Friday, 7pm–9pm
