Job summary

CityFM in Cairns is seeking a part-time cleaner to join our facilities team. You will work evenings from 7pm–9pm, Monday to Friday at Bayview Heights and possibly other sites.

The role focuses on cleaning rooms, surfaces, and communal areas, with emphasis on OH&S and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Previous cleaning experience is preferred; a smartphone is required for work communications, and WWCC may be requested.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Must have valid working rights in Australia.
• Willing to obtain WWCC.
• Evening shift availability (Mon-Fri).

Responsibilities

• Clean activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like handles and switches.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean doors and windows.
• Safely use chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling.
• Follow all OH&S policies and procedures.

• A smartphone for work communication.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Driver’s licence and own car (preferred)
• Willing to obtain a Working with Children Check.
