Job summary

City Facilities Management Ltd. in Cairns and surrounding areas is seeking a casual cleaner for evening shifts (7pm–9pm, Mon–Fri, minimum) to keep activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces clean and well-maintained.

You will disinfect high-touch surfaces, dust, vacuum, mop, and handle chemicals safely. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and valid working rights in Australia are required; smartphone for work communications is preferred.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous cleaning experience (preferred, not essential).
• A smartphone for work communication.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Driver's licence and own car (preferred)
• Willing to obtain a Police Check or Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Clean activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like handles and switches.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean doors and windows.
• Safely use chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling.
• Follow all OH&S policies and procedures.
• Woree – 2 hours per day
• Trinity Beach – 2 hours per day
