Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is seeking Environmental Services Assistants to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across its facilities. Training is provided so no prior cleaning experience is required.

About the role

As an Environmental Services Assistant, you’ll help maintain a high standard of cleanliness across CGH, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who enters our facilities. Your work will be varied and important, and you'll receive the support and training you need to feel confident in your role.

Your day may include:

• Cleaning patient rooms, treatment areas, furnishings, shared spaces and other facility areas.
• Making beds and changing and removing bed linen.
• Completing routine cleaning and spot-cleaning tasks.
• Responding to cleaning and service requests.
• Following established cleaning schedules, infection prevention requirements, standards, policies and procedures.
• Assisting with patient transport as required.
• Working as part of a team to ensure our facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare or environmental services is desirable but not essential . Most importantly, we’re looking for the right attitude. If you take pride in your work, care about helping others and are ready to learn, we can teach you the rest.
