Job summary

PROPERTY SUPPORT SERVICES UK LIMITED is seeking a Cleaning Operative in Horsham. You will deliver on-site cleaning to defined specifications within health and safety guidelines, covering shifts from early morning to afternoon, and weekends as required.

The ideal candidate will follow instructions, be polite, professional, and flexible, with full training provided. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary to cover staff sickness and holidays. Uniform is provided and presentation is important.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow instructions and maintain professional conduct.
• Flexible mindset to work overtime, weekends and shifts as required.
• Overtime and weekend availability to cover staff sickness/holidays.
• Experience is preferred but full training will be provided.
• Good self-presentation and uniform provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Clean specific areas of the site as scheduled by Manager/Supervisor.
• Attend to urgent cleaning and spills when required.
• Keep cleaning cupboards tidy and stocked; report hazards to Manager/Supervisor.
• Provide clear, detailed handovers to colleagues and ensure equipment is cleaned and stored correctly.

Job description

- Swan Walk Shopping Centre, Horsham RH12 1HQ

- 30 hours per week

- Shift Patterns are on a rolling Rota

- Rota to be shared at interview stage but will involve 0600-1200, 0900-1500, 1400-2000

- must be able to work weekends due to site being open 7 days a week

Cleaning Operative Responsibilities Include:

- Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.

- Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor.

- Attend to all urgent cleaning and spills when required.

- Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.

- Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor.

- Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues.

- Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.

Ideal Candidate:
