Job summary

Ventia is seeking a School Cleaner for Coomera Rivers State School in Queensland. The role offers consistent weekday hours with no weekend work and starts ASAP. Pay starts from AUD 33.85 per hour plus penalties and super, with a casual relief contract and no guaranteed shifts.

Shifts run 4:00am–7:00am or 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities to work both shifts. Training is provided and there is potential for ongoing opportunities within the Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial cleaning experience is an advantage.
• Current Blue Card and recent National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months).
• Ability to pass a medical assessment and random drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining classrooms, administration areas and common spaces
• Vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors
• Cleaning toilets and restocking consumables
• Sanitising high-contact surfaces
• Following site cleaning schedules and safety procedures

Pay: From $33.85 per hour + penalties + super

Contract: Casual relief role

There are no guaranteed or fixed shifts.

Strong performance may lead to ongoing opportunities and potential pathways to permanent employment with the Department of Education.
