Job summary

Australia Zoo is seeking Zoo Cleaners, Office Cleaners, Housekeepers and Food & Beverage Cleaners to join our team in Beerwah, Queensland. You will be responsible for cleaning public areas, offices, hospitality outlets and accommodations while ensuring excellent guest relations.

Experience in a similar environment is preferred. The role requires physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work in outdoor conditions including heat and rain.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality cleaning preferred.
• Strong communication and guest relations.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
• Own transport beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & maintaining all public areas.
• General cleaning of offices.

• Rubbish disposal and litter removal on zoo grounds.
• Use of cleaning equipment (vacuum, blower, mop, etc).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of cleaners who are interested in working at Australia Zoo! We are currently looking for Zoo Cleaners, Office Cleaners, Housekeepers and Food and Beverage Cleaners!

Duties include -

• Cleaning & maintaining all public areas.
• General cleaning of offices.
• General cleaning of hospitality outlets.
• General cleaning of cabins and accommodation.
• Rubbish disposal and litter removal on surrounding zoo property including: pathways, access areas, service roads and main buildings throughout zoo.
• Use of cleaning and maintenance equipment (Vacuum, Blower, Sweeper, Mop, Duster, Gurney, Buggy etc)
• Maintain excellent communication and guest relations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to wear a 15kg blower on back for approx. 2 hours per day.
• Ability to work in outdoor climates for extended periods of time. (Including high temperatures and rain)
• Experience in a similar environment preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong availability including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
• Own transportation, as public transportation is not reliable in this area.
• Proof of Hepatitis Vaccinations. (unless otherwise exempt)
