Your New Role

The Classroom Teacher is the major in-school influence on student achievement and plays the key role of facilitating effective learning and teaching. The first function of the classroom teacher is to be an effective member of a collaborative team of colleagues who work to put student learning and wellbeing first.

Essential Criteria

  • Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to the Catholic Faith.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellence to develop and deliver evidence based, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs, reflecting the use of data and quality assessment practices K-6.
  • An effective classroom practitioner with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, contemporary pedagogy and the use of digital technologies.
  • Ability to incorporate appropriate behaviour management strategies that promote a positive school environment in accordance with the Positive Behaviours for Learning framework.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with Parish, parents, staff, students and the wider St Patrick’s community.
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • NSW Working with Children Check
  • NSW NESA Accreditation
  • Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category D, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation.
