Job summary

St Johns College, Dubbo in NSW is seeking a dedicated Classroom Teacher for Secondary Science to join our faith-centred learning community. This temporary, full-time role supports leave coverage and requires collaboration with leadership to deliver quality curricula and engaging, inclusive learning experiences across Years 7–12.

The successful candidate will use data to monitor student progress, contribute to professional learning, and participate in school life and extracurricular activities

Temporary, Full-time Position (Leave Coverage)

Commencing: ASAP by Negotiation until the end Term 2 2027

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a science Teacher to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team at St Johns College in Dubbo NSW. The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the curriculum while creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment for their students.

  • Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
  • Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.
  • Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.
  • Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.
  • Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life.
  • Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities
