Job summary

Our Lady Help of Christians School in Warrnambool invites applications for a part-time Classroom Teacher (Thursday-Friday) on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role requires VIT registration or eligibility and Accreditation to teach Religious Education, with strong Victorian Curriculum knowledge.

The successful applicant will work in a shared class, collaborate with staff, and contribute to a safe, inclusive Catholic school community. Confidential discussion with Deputy Principal is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration required.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards with best practice.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues in planning, instruction and assessment.
• Commitment to safety, wellbeing and protection of children.

About the Role

This role will be in a shared class arrangement, working on Thursdays and Fridays

• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
