St Christopher’s Primary School in Melbourne is seeking a classroom teacher for a full-time, fixed-term position commencing January 27, 2027, with the possibility of extension beyond 2027.

The successful applicant must have current VIT registration, accreditation to teach Religious Education (or be prepared to gain it), and strong skills in building relationships with students, staff and parents. A team player who can use data to inform teaching and uphold child safety is essential.

St Christopher’s Primary School is seeking to employ a classroom teacher, beginning January 27, 2027 to join our dynamic teaching team.

The position is full time for a fixed contract until the end of 2027; however, there is a possibility of the position being available beyond 2027 and ongoing employment.

St Christopher’s is seeking a teacher who is dedicated to catering for the individual needs of students and creating a positive classroom climate. The candidate must be a team player.

The successful applicant must have:(criteria)

• strong relationship skills with students, staff and parents
• an understanding and commitment to the MACS 2030 Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement
• ability to use data to inform teaching in order to meet the individual needs of all students, especially in Maths and English
• ability to create a positive and nurturing classroom environment
• a passion for teaching
• the ability to work within a team
• current VIT registration
• be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School and a passion for teaching Religious Education within the Catholic context or prepared to gain accreditation
• a strong commitment and proven record in Child Safety and the wellbeing of students
