Job summary

Our Lady of Dolours School in Mitchelton is seeking a School Officer (Classroom Support) to assist with planning, preparation and delivery of learning programs, including use of technology and learning support activities.

You will monitor student progress, apply intervention strategies, collaborate with school specialists, and help document observations and materials. Eligibility to work in Australia and Blue Card requirements apply; Certificate III in Education Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including use technology and learning support activities
• Monitoring the progress of students and identifing learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
