Job summary

EML is a leading workers compensation and personal injury claims management business in Australia. We’re welcoming applications for Claims Advisors to join our Newcastle team, offering meaningful work with high empathy, problem‑solving and impact each day.

Successful applicants will be invited to a face-to-face group interview on 7 October and commence on 9 November 2026. After probation, option to work from home and flexible roster choices are available.

Responsibilities

• Assist workers and employers with the claim process and completion of required documents to ensure timely access to services to support return to work and injury recovery.
• Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve early sustainable return to work while keeping costs reasonable.
• Ensure that allocated work is actioned within appropriate timeframes.
• Manage telephone enquiries within EML’s guidelines and adhere to the EML’s Communication Policy.
• Collaborate with Injury Management Specialists to collect information and provide expert advice and support.
• Record and maintain accurate records.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist the worker and employer with the claim process and providing support in the completion of relevant documents to ensure timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery

• Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum outcome of early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs

• Ensure that allocated work is actioned within appropriate timeframes

• Manage telephone enquiries within EML’s guidelines and adhere to the EML’s Communication Policy

• Collaborating with Injury Management Specialists and other subject matter experts to collect information and ensure customers receive expert advice and support

• Recording and maintaining accurate records
