Job summary

Service Stream’s Utilities division seeks a Project Engineer/Estimator to join our team in NSW. This permanent, full-time role focuses on planning, cost estimation and delivering civil construction projects including Ausgrid poles and line work. Location: Wetherill Park, NSW.

Reporting line to Project Manager, with cross-functional collaboration across operations and management. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years in project engineering and cost estimation, a civil engineering degree, and

Qualifications

2–5 years combined experience in project engineering and cost estimation
Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent (advantageous)
Knowledge of applicable building codes and safety laws
Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office tools

Responsibilities

Assist with technical submissions, schedules, value engineering and constructability reviews
Coordinate between site operations and project management
Contract administration including project communications and document management
Monitor progress against safety, time, cost and quality targets and report to project management
Monitor delivery against scope and contract obligations
Create technical drawings, layouts and models for civil construction projects
Ensure plans meet regulatory compliance requirements
Visit sites to check design feasibility as required
Assist project management to resolve on-site challenges
Use data analysis, forecasting and budgeting software
