Job summary

Protech on the Gold Coast is offering a 3-year traineeship in Civil Construction. You will train on-site with experienced crews on road construction and maintenance projects, gaining hands-on experience while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

You will be hosted by a Government Organisation, receive on-the-job training, and mentor support throughout the program. This role promises a pathway to a long-term civil construction career and permanent opportunities upon successful

Qualifications

• Current Driver Licence
• Genuine interest in building a career in Civil Construction
• Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic
• Previous civil, labouring or construction experience is welcomed but not required
• Construction White Card
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug test
• Provide two recent, contactable work references

Responsibilities

• General labouring tasks across road construction and maintenance projects
• Assist crews with civil and roadwork activities
• Set up and pack down site equipment and work zones
• Use hand and power tools under supervision
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
• Work as part of a team to support daily operations
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Complete the theory and practical requirements of your traineeship

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Gain a Certificate III in Civil Construction – Road Construction and Maintenance (3‑year traineeship)
• Permanent fixed‑term employment with a minimum of 38 hours per week
• Annual leave and personal leave entitlements
