Job summary

MGC Civil is seeking a skilled Surveyor role to support Perth-area project sites. This full-time, permanent position offers $90,000-$130,000 per year plus super.

You will assist Construction Managers, Architects and Surveyors in planning, interpreting plans, and coordinating works across active sites. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Higher in Surveying, proficient with GPS, Total Stations and Topcon/Leica/Magnet software, and can manage large datasets with defensible as-built records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher in Surveying or equivalent is required.
• Strong knowledge of civil design drawings and IFC documentation.
• Experience with surveying instruments and data handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Construction Managers, Architects and Surveyors in planning and organisation.
• Interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice.
• Preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications.
• Preparing, editing and revising plans, maps, charts and drawings.
• Coordinating works programs.
• Inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards.
• Calculating costs and estimating time scales.
• Collecting data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment.
• Performing routine computations and plotting preliminary data.
