Job summary

Burton Contractors is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead a major civil construction project in Sydney. You will report to the Project Manager and take ownership of planning, coordinating and delivering works safely and efficiently.

You will supervise site personnel, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement while liaising with engineers, subcontractors and clients. A strong focus on WHS, quality and process discipline is essential.

• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate site personnel.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Experience in resource planning and cost control.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement on site.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site personnel, leading continuous improvement efforts.
• Effectively manage resources and implement best practices on-site.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to solve problems with deductive reasoning and analytical thinking.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Plan and prioritise daily workloads to respond to changing project requirements.
• Maintain a strong focus on WHS, environmental requirements and quality standards.
• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within civil construction.
• Bulk Earthworks project experience
• TfNSW project experience
• Site and people management expertise

• Aptitude in both written and verbal forms of communication
