Civil Services Group in Queensland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support construction of major infrastructure projects along the Gin Gin to Rockhampton corridor. You will work under supervision of the Project Manager/Contract Manager and contribute to delivering time, cost and quality objectives.
The role requires a civil engineering degree, strong communication, knowledge of DTMR policies and road/bridge construction, and flexibility for shifts.
We are involved in Civil Roadworks Projects for the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program, which is being highly publicised at the moment.
There will be more opportunities coming up between Gin Gin & Rockhampton and we are seeking experienced Civil Site Engineers - interested in becoming Pre-Qualified with TMR under CSG to allow them to work on the projects. SEC01 & SEC02 (the old B02 Category). It's free & we provide guidance along the way. (This is also open to people who are already Pre-Qualified under other companies & wish to widen their options for opportunities).
will be responsible for Site Construction works and contributes to, or provides, a range of professional services to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects to time, cost and quality criteria, under supervision of the Project Manager/Contract Manager. The Site Engineer also assists in the development and implementation of new projects, including managing construction of projects and provides support to the Contract Administrator on project related issues and initiatives.
Experience working on Civil Roads Infrastructure Construction Projects either directly or indirectly for or with the Queensland Department of Transport & Main Roads on DTMR Projects & be well versed and experienced with their policies, procedures & standards, Or; alternatively, any Australian Road Authority, directly or indirectly.
The sites can be located anywhere between Gin Gin & Rockhampton.
The projects typically are 1 - 2 year duration's with the possibility of extensions or transition onto other TMR / Council projects.
The proposed hours are normally 40 per week & usually dayshift, but can sometimes involve night or weekend shifts to conduct the works, but these will be discussed & agreed prior to each assignment. (If shifts are required, they are usually cycled alternately to provide relief).
Must have a driver's licence and have access to own transport to/from home to site & mobile phone. Own laptop will be an advantage.
Preference will be given to someone already living in QLD &/or willing to relocate to a regional coastal town, however we will consider DIDO & FIFO.
