Job summary

Our client, a well-established civil contractor in South Australia, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction to completion. You will work with leadership, clients and site teams to drive safety, program, budget and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include managing $10M–$100M+ projects, guiding project engineers and subcontractors, controlling forecasts and commercial performance, and nurturing client relationships to support growth

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale civil infrastructure projects as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets, forecasting and contracts experience.
• Excellent leadership and ability to develop high-performing project teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure projects valued between $10M and $100M+.
• Lead project teams including Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors.
• Drive programmes, budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.

Due to continued growth and a healthy project pipeline, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join their leadership team and play a key role in the successful delivery of major projects across the state.

Your new role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with senior leadership, clients, consultants and site teams, you will oversee project performance, commercial outcomes, stakeholder management and resource planning while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure projects valued between $10M and $100M+.
• Leading project teams including Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors.
• Driving project programmes, budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Managing contractual obligations and mitigating project risks.

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale civil infrastructure projects in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager capacity.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing project budgets, forecasting and contracts.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing project teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management capabilities.
• A collaborative management style and commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
• Experience across road, transport, utilities, subdivision or broader civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
