Job summary

Orion Group in Sydney is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to assist the Senior Project Engineer in planning, execution and finalisation of projects to strict deadlines and budgets.

You will coordinate internal teams, third-party contractors and consultants, oversee quality, assist in budgets and invoicing, and liaise with authorities for approvals, while promoting IMS and best practices to support project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering is required.
• 1–5 years post-graduate experience preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to focus and meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Engineer in planning, execution and finalisation of projects within deadlines and budget.
• Coordinate internal Orion team members, third-party contractors and consultants to deliver projects.
• Assist in defining project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the life cycle.
• Assist in managing budgets and invoicing and seek variations when required.
• Liaise with authorities and utility agencies to obtain project approvals.
