Job summary

KwikFlo Pty Ltd in Sydney is recruiting Civil Plumbing Pipelayers & Drainers to install underground pipes and conduits to exact specifications, interpreting construction plans and drawings.

You will operate excavators, backhoes and pipe-laying equipment, perform trench prep, bedding and backfill, and maintain safety and quality on site while coordinating with teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Civil Pipe Layer & Drainer or similar role.
• Ability to read construction plans, blueprints, and specs.
• Valid driver's licence and equipment certification for operating construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction plans and technical drawings to install underground pipes and conduits to specification.
• Operate excavators, backhoes and pipe-laying machinery.
• Perform trench preparation, bedding and backfilling for pipe support.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe work site.
• Collaborate with construction workers and trades to coordinate installation activities.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed.

What you'll be doing

Interpret construction plans and technical drawings to install various types of underground pipes and conduits accurately and to specification

Operate specialised equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and pipe-laying machinery

Perform trench preparation, bedding, and backfilling to ensure proper pipe support and protection

Follow all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe work environment

Collaborate with other construction workers and trade professionals to coordinate pipe installation activities

Maintain detailed records and documentation of work performed

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Civil Pipe Layer & Drainer or similar role in the construction industry

Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical specifications

Skilled in the operation of excavators, backhoes, and other pipe-laying equipment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Valid driver's licence and certification for operating construction equipment

Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently

Commitment to following all relevant health, safety, and environmental protocols
