Job summary

Stellar Recruitment AU and NZ – Plenty VIC is seeking an experienced Civil Drainlayer or Pipelayer for on-site work in the Bay of Plenty. The role offers a solid pathway toward a drainlaying apprenticeship with support from a skilled crew.

You'll install stormwater and underground drainage, read plans, and work safely with excavators, labourers and supervisors while maintaining quality workmanship and on-going training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in civil pipelaying or drainlaying.
• Good understanding of underground drainage installation.
• Certifications: ConstructSafe or Site Safe.
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Strong work ethic and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Installing stormwater, wastewater and underground drainage systems
• Laying pipes, setting levels and ensuring correct falls and alignment
• Working from plans, drawings and site specifications
• Assisting with trenching, bedding, backfilling and reinstatement
• Working alongside excavator operators, labourers and supervisors
• Maintaining safe work practices around underground services and excavations
• Ensuring drainage installations meet required standards
