Job summary

McMahon Services is delivering major civil utilities works on what is set to be the biggest infrastructure project in South Australia, and we’re seeking experienced Civil Pipelayers to join our Civil & Infrastructure team.

You’ll install water, sewer and stormwater pipelines, work with experienced crews and supervisors, and contribute to projects that require careful trenching, bedding and alignment. This role offers steady work for years on a high-profile site with strong safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in civil pipelaying and underground service installation.
• Experience installing water, sewer and/or stormwater infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and levels.
• Experience using laser levels and grade control equipment.
• Current Driver’s Licence and construction White Card.

Responsibilities

• Install water, sewer, stormwater and associated underground infrastructure.
• Undertake pipelaying, trenching and associated civil construction activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and levels.
• Assist with setting out, pipe alignment and grade control.
• Use laser levels and survey information to achieve accurate installation outcomes.
• Prepare trenches, bedding and surrounding areas for pipeline installation.
• Undertake pipe laying, jointing and installation in accordance with project specifications.
• Work safely around existing and underground services.
• Coordinate with Operators, Supervisors and wider civil crews.
