Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a motivated Skilled Labourer to join the Basin Maintenance team at the Woolamia Works Depot in Huskisson, NSW. The role focuses on construction and maintenance of council assets and infrastructure, delivering essential services to the Shoalhaven community.

Key responsibilities include manual labour, operating small plant, and adhering to safety standards. Applicants should have a valid NSW driver’s licence, white card, and right to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' work experience in civil construction or maintenance activities.
• NSW Class C Driver's Licence or equivalent valid in NSW.
• NSW General Construction Induction card (white card) or interstate equivalent.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking a range of manual labouring duties including shovelling, raking, screeding, digging, lifting and traffic control.
• Operating and maintaining small plant and equipment such as chainsaws, plate compactors, jackhammers, concrete saws, power tools and vegetation maintenance equipment.
• Working safely under supervision, both independently and as part of a team, across construction and maintenance projects.
• Delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to Council standards and safety requirements.
• Completing required documentation, including timesheets and site safety inspections.
