Job summary

AECOM is seeking motivated Civil or Senior Civil Engineers to join the Civil Infrastructure Team on the Gold Coast. You will contribute to planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects across Queensland, ANZ and global operations, with opportunities to mentor a team and pursue new project opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• CPEng, RPEQ or eligible through recognition pathways is preferred.
• Experience in civil infrastructure design and project delivery is essential.

• Mentor and coach a team of engineers, especially for senior roles.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking motivated and highly driven Civil or Senior Civil Engineers to join our Civil Infrastructure Team in the Gold Coast. The Civil Infrastructure Team supports a vast array of planning, design and construction projects predominately related to development and infrastructure projects servicing Queensland, ANZ and the Global business.

As part of this exciting role you will not only have the opportunity to perform technical Civil Engineering activities and delivery of infrastructure design solutions, but you will also be encouraged and supported in identifying and pursuing new project opportunities, learning new skill sets, and for the right Senior engineering candidate, mentoring and coaching a team of engineers.

Working with a high performing team of engineers, designers and drafters with a passion for digital delivery, you will support the team in delivering projects across a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects. Your role will focus on the core civil engineering discipline, associated with roadworks, stormwater drainage & flooding, earthworks, pavements, water and sewerage infrastructure for key clients across Defence, Transport, Water Resources, Mining, Energy Water Infrastructure and Urban Development industries. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with best-in-industry peers across our organisation to create whole-of-business success for projects.

How you'll make a difference

• Planning and design of civil infrastructure; roads & transport, stormwater assets (quantity and quality), services/utilities, earthworks, etc.
• Technical and non-technical report writing tailored to diverse audiences, using clear and accessible language
• Positive, collaborative approach, working with a diverse team
• 2 to 8 years’ experience. More experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply for Senior Civil Engineer Positions
• Use of design standards and practices for civil infrastructure design (for example; QUDM, Qld Main Roads MRTS & Road Drainage Manual & Standard Drawings, IECA Erosion & Sediment Control, Austroads, QUU or Water Services Australia (WSA) Standards, South-East Queensland Local Council Design Guidelines/Standards, amongst others)

Demonstrated experience in the following is desirable:

• Detailed Design of Civil elements, including Civil Arrangements Design, Roadway/Carpark/Cycleway/Footpath Geometric Design, Stormwater Pit and Pipe Design (using 12d Drainage Network Editor, DRAINS or equivalent software), Stormwater Quality Assessment (using MUSIC software) PUP Conflict Assessment/Management, Design Management and coordination of multi-disciplinary design inputs.
• Experience bidding, winning and delivering Civil Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time.
• Commercial/contractual management of projects.
• Experience of project delivery under 'design only' and 'design and construct' delivery models.

Your ability to deliver on promises and to develop and maintain strong internal team and external client relationships will be keys to your success in this role.
