Warren Smith Consulting Engineers in Sydney CBD is seeking an Civil Engineer to design and deliver urban development and infrastructure projects. You will work with experienced engineers to develop practical, compliant solutions across roads, drainage and civil works.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant civil engineering experience, preferably within an Australian engineering consultancy.
• Experience in civil infrastructure and urban development design, particularly roads, stormwater drainage and associated civil works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 12D and/or Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in DRAINS and MUSIC modelling.
• A sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards, design codes and local authority requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and external consultants.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to continue developing your technical and professional skills.
• Exposure to experienced engineers and designers across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Undertake civil engineering design for urban development and infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater drainage and associated civil works.
• Prepare engineering calculations, designs, drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD, 12D and/or Civil 3D.
• Prepare DRAINS and MUSIC models for stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Develop practical design solutions that comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes, guidelines and project requirements.
• Prepare and review design documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company quality assurance procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers and other consultants to resolve technical and design issues.
• Prepare technical reports, project correspondence and supporting documentation.
• Attend site inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Liaise with project managers regarding design progress, deliverables and project timelines.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within agreed budgets and timeframes.
