Job summary

Arcadis in Sydney is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Urban Development team. You will contribute to the delivery of civil engineering projects from feasibility to detailed design, collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and project success.

You will work on residential, industrial and commercial land/urban development projects, with responsibilities including design delivery, coordinating subconsultants, and maintaining quality,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated civil engineering experience gained across urban development projects working in Australia
• Experience in 12D, Civil 3D and DRAINS
• Possess strong communication and report writing skills
• Excellent client-focus and a sound technical know-how will propel you in sustaining a successful role and contributing in Arcadis’ success.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on providing technical advice, direction, and overview of the day-to-day delivery of urban development engineering designs, as well as meeting agreed budgetary, quality, safety and timeframe targets
• Managing selected designs and teams to develop and implement the highest level of technical delivery through effective review process while exceeding client expectations
• Building effective and enduring relationships with other teams and technical disciplines, and external organisations to foster co-operation and maximise our technical offering to ensure the integrity and quality of the overall design
• Managing subconsultants, quality assurance, client feedback and ensure effective communication of any changes/modifications
• Championing the involvement and inclusion of our interstate and overseas teams by ensuring a seamless part of our service offering
• Technical quality assurance and report writing
• To build and consolidate networks within the industry.

Role description:

Our Urban Development team is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. In this role you will contribute to the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, from feasibility and concept design to detailed design. Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a key part in ensuring technical excellence and project success. You’ll help us deliver projects across a range of sectors from major residential, industrial and commercial land/urban development projects to health, education and infrastructure.

Role accountabilities:
