Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD in Cloncurry, QLD is seeking a Civil Engineer to support project delivery of road infrastructure. You will assist with contract selection, administer contracts and coordinate design, construction and maintenance activities under senior supervision.

The role offers development through rotations across planning and corridor management, opportunities to work with stakeholders, and housing incentives for rural placements along with 5 weeks leave and

Qualifications

Four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
Candidate will undergo a criminal history check as part of selection.

Responsibilities

Assist in selecting contract processes for project delivery and administer contracts to ensure compliance.
Coordinate design, construction and maintenance activities to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
Manage project elements under supervision and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide planning/design process support to ensure value for money and best practice.
Rotate across teams for broad exposure and professional development.
