Job summary

The City of Greater Geraldton is seeking an Engineering Officer (Ref: 1345) on a full-time fixed-term basis until October 2027. You will provide technical engineering support for land development, asset management, stormwater and road renewals, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and budgets.

Key responsibilities include reviewing development specifications, assessing town planning and building applications, and contributing to infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with experience in road, transport and traffic engineering.
• Knowledge of stormwater management, civil design and asset management.
• Experience with development applications and compliance with Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and disseminate information to the development industry and respond to inquiries about infrastructure assets.
• Provide technical development engineering advice and assessment on town planning and building applications, including structure plans and road use assessments.
• Process engineering applications in accordance with relevant legal provisions.
• Ensure Land Development Specifications meet standards and support sustainable infrastructure assets.
