Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Sydney is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure Solutions team and contribute to major Australian projects across the full lifecycle.

You will support planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, innovative and sustainable solutions for clients. A degree in Civil Engineering is required, with progress toward Chartered status (CPEng) encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil infrastructure engineering within a consulting environment is preferred.
• Exposure to design and delivery of infrastructure projects such as roads, rail, water or urban development.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and design standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or interest in pursuing accreditation in the future.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
• Undertaking civil design activities including earthworks, roads, drainage, utilities and related infrastructure.
• Supporting the delivery of transport, water and urban development projects from concept through to detailed design.
• Preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality project outcomes.
• Supporting the preparation and review of project deliverables to ensure compliance with client and industry standards.
• Assisting with project planning, scheduling and delivery activities.
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
