Job summary

McMurtrie Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd is seeking a Civil Engineer Drafter to join the Bundaberg team. You will work alongside experienced designers and learn drafting and 3D design with a view to becoming a civil designer over time. A strong AutoCAD skill set is essential.

You will be involved in design/drafting for urban development, roads and stormwater, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to project schedules. The role offers full-time hours and a pathway to growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Civil Design/Drafting experience.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete design/drafting work as directed (including urban development, road and stormwater drainage etc.)
• Preparation and presentation of plans and documents as well as digital data suitable for client submissions
• Copying of plans and documents as well as the compilation of reports
• Interpreting engineering sketches and specifications.
• Maintaining drawing standards and consistency.
• Creating technical drawings using AUTOCAD software.
• Creating design models using 12D software.
• Adhering to project schedules and deadlines.
• Conduct Site Inspections.
