Job summary

Stantec in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to manage civil design and documentation for land, urban and subdivision projects in public and private sectors across the regional client portfolio.

You will resolve design constraints, coordinate projects with a multidisciplinary team, and lead site inspections, reports and budgets while developing client relationships and contributing to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in civil engineering design and delivery of urban, land and subdivision projects.
• Experience with current civil engineering technologies including design, modelling and construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including report writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports and specifications.

Job description

Stantec Community Development team in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer. In this role you will manage the civil design and documentation for a variety of land, urban and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors, across an extensive regional client portfolio. You will be involved in resolving design constraints, coordinating projects, interfacing with various disciplines and delivering projects with the support of a multi-disciplinary design team.

Day to day tasks would involve:

• Design, coordination and project management of land, urban and subdivision projects, from feasibility through to construction
• Prepare technical reports and specifications
• Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects
• Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets
• Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
• Undertake and manage site inspections
• Contribute to the development of Stantec’s knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction
• Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients
• Assist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management

What you will bring to the team

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering
• Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of projects, ideally within urban, land and subdivisions
• Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling and construction
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing.
