Job summary

The Constructive Collective is seeking a civil design engineer for Sydney projects. You’ll prepare civil design drawings and models for development and infrastructure initiatives, collaborating with engineers and drafters to translate concepts into practical designs.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in civil design in Australia, are proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, and can navigate road design, earthworks and site development while meeting standards.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in civil design within Australia.
• Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Experience across road design, earthworks, grading and site development projects.
• Familiar with Australian design standards and council requirements.
• Able to produce accurate, clear and well-structured engineering drawings.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working within a project team.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities.
• Enjoys learning, contributing and being part of a collaborative workplace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil design drawings and models for development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with road layouts, site grading, bulk earthworks, plus more.
• Work closely with engineers and drafters to deliver practical design outcomes.
• Coordinate documentation and ensure designs meet relevant standards and specifications.
• Contribute across multiple projects from concept through to detailed design.
• Participate in design reviews and implement feedback effectively.
