Job summary

SMEC is seeking a Civil Designer - Roads & Highways (12D) to join our Sydney Transport team. You will deliver civil/transport design packages for major infrastructure, applying 12D with BIM integration and collaborating with engineers and partners to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in civil/transport design, strong 12D/AutoCAD/3D modelling skills, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams while delivering innovative technical solutions.

This Designer role will see you:

What You Bring

5+ years’ experience in civil/transport design with a strong portfolio of major infrastructure projects

Expertise in 12D, AutoCAD and 3D modelling for transport infrastructure

Strong communication skills and the ability to guide multidisciplinary project teams

Advanced problem‑solving, analytical ability and capability to translate complex design concepts into practical solutions
