Job summary

Stantec Australia is seeking a Civil Designer for our Community Development team in Maroochydore. You will contribute to master planned communities, parks, streetscapes and urban spaces, delivering robust civil designs for diverse stakeholders.

Experience with land development, subdivisions and 12D software will be essential as you collaborate with planning, surveying and transport teams to meet project needs and client expectations.

• Demonstrated Civil Designer experience in projects that include land, urban and subdivisions.
• Familiarity with 12D software and civil design workflows.
• Ability to interface with transport, planning, survey, traffic and landscape disciplines.

Job description

We have a great opportunity for a Civil Designer in our Community Development team in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast. The role will suit an experienced Civil Designer who has worked on multi-disciplined civil projects for councils, local government, Transport Main Roads, or private developers.

Our approach to community development consulting covers master planned communities, mixed-use developments, parks, recreation facilities, and streetscapes. We activate urban downtowns, suburban centers, small towns, and rural areas—and the multimodal corridors that connect us to the places we work, live, and thrive.

The role

Preparing conceptual and detailed designs using 12D (land, subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer & water systems as well as associated infrastructure)

Interpreting civil design requirements of State Government, Local Government Authorities and private sector clients

Interfacing with associated disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscaping

Interacting with clients regarding project needs

About you

Demonstrated Civil Designer experience in projects that include land, urban and subdivisions

Demonstrated experience using 12D software

Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
