Job summary

Praxis Civil PTY LTD is seeking a motivated Civil Construction Apprentice to start a long-term civil construction career while completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction through Signature Learning. You will gain hands-on experience across varied projects in the Greater Hunter and Central Coast regions, with on-the-job training and a supportive team.

Job description

Praxis Civil are seeking a motivated and reliable Civil Construction Apprentice to join our rapidly growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long term career in civil construction while completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction, supported by Praxis Civil and delivered through Signature Learning.

You will gain hands on experience across a variety of civil construction projects while working alongside experienced operators and supervisors in a supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a strong interest in civil construction
• Be willing to learn pipe laying, plant operation, and general civil works
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability
• Be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Show a commitment to completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction
• Have basic literacy and numeracy skills suitable for trade training
• Be physically fit and capable of manual labour

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous labouring or construction experience
• Exposure to sewer, water, or stormwater works
• Interest in operating plant and machinery
• Basic understanding of workplace health & safety

Mandatory requirements:

• Current White Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
• Current Driver’s Licence (or working towards)
• Strong commitment to safety and following OH&S procedures

This role is suited to entry-level applicants or school leavers looking to start a career in civil construction. No prior civil construction experience is required—training will be provided.
