Job summary

Melton City Council is seeking a skilled civil engineer to lead procurement, scheduling, and delivery of Capital Works Projects. You will coordinate with staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

The role reports to the Civil Operations Coordinator and requires strong project/contract management abilities, with a focus on timely delivery and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering with experience in civil infrastructure construction.
• Experience in project and contract management, negotiation and dispute resolution.
• Understanding of OHS, traffic and environmental management and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Procure, schedule and deliver Council Capital Works Projects and Programs and manage the Contracts.
• Review contract management plans and maintain compliance records.
• Provide budgetary control and report on progress and financial status.
