Job summary

The City of Adelaide is seeking an experienced Event Lead to shape and deliver a diverse program of events across the city, including major celebrations such as New Year’s Eve. You will manage concepts through delivery, coordinate with partners, suppliers and government bodies, and ensure every detail is delivered safely, creatively, on time and within budget.

In this fast-paced role you’ll lead cross-functional teams, drive risk management, sponsorships, licensing and stakeholder engagement,

Qualifications

• Significant understanding of procedures, policies and legislation for managing events.
• Experience in identifying event risks and implementing risk management plans.
• Experience developing, coordinating, programming and delivering diverse events, including major events.
• Understanding of project lifecycle and strategies for cross-functional collaboration.
• Exceptional time management and effective resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead events from initial concept through delivery, including major community celebrations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, community and cultural organisations, government and regulators.
• Manage communications, licensing, risk, accessibility and sustainability requirements.
• Grow the City’s events program by identifying partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
• Establish project working groups and manage event sites and related operations.
