Job summary

Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking an experienced leader to head the Regulatory City Compliance Services, overseeing environmental and development compliance, animal welfare and community education programs. You will guide a multidisciplinary team and report to the Director Planning & Regulation, shaping service delivery and outcomes for the City of Wagga Wagga.

The role requires strategic and operational leadership, governance understanding, and a commitment to high-quality customer service

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in regulatory services management or related field.
• Proven leadership experience in regulatory/compliance settings.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience delivering regulatory and service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary regulatory and compliance team.
• Oversee delivery of regulatory and compliance services to meet legislation and community expectations.
• Drive continuous improvements and service delivery in alignment with council priorities.
• Foster strong relationships with government agencies and the community.
