OnSite Recruitment is recruiting Christmas Casual Mowing & Brushcutter Operators for the Open Space / Parks & Gardens division in Epping, Melbourne. The role runs during the Christmas period with a 21 December start and 11 January finish, offering five days of work per week and the potential for ongoing employment beyond the holiday period.

These casual roles involve mowing, brushcutting, herbicide application and other grounds maintenance tasks outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labouring and grounds maintenance duties.
• Keep outdoor spaces clean, safe and presentable.

We have exciting Christmas casual opportunities available with a well-established industry leader maintaining some of Melbourne's most beautiful parks, gardens and open spaces.

Our client delivers a comprehensive range of open space, civil infrastructure and environmental services to government and private organisations. With expertise in Parks & Gardens, Arboriculture, Tree Management, Sportsfield Maintenance and Turf Renovations, they are recognised for their professionalism, safety and high-quality service.

We are currently recruiting Christmas Casual Mowing and Brushcutter Operators to join the Open Space / Parks & Gardens division in Epping.

These positions are ideal for people looking for seasonal employment over the Christmas and New Year period, with work commencing 21 December and running through to 11 January. There is also potential for ongoing employment for suitable candidates beyond the initial Christmas casual period.

The Roles

Working alongside an experienced outdoor maintenance team, you will help maintain parks, gardens, nature strips and public open spaces throughout the busy summer season.

We are seeking people with experience in mowing, brushcutting or general grounds maintenance.

Your day-to-day duties may include:

• Operating front deck and zero-turn mowers.
• Brushcutting and trimming grassed areas.
• Operating blowers and other landscaping equipment.
• Herbicide application.
• General labouring and grounds maintenance duties.
• Maintaining clean, safe and presentable outdoor environments.

What We're Looking For

• Previous commercial Parks & Gardens, mowing, brushcutting or horticultural experience highly desirable.
• Experience operating commercial brushcutters or mowing equipment.
• Knowledge of herbicide application techniques advantageous.
• A genuine interest in outdoor work.
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands‑on duties.
• Reliable, punctual and motivated.
• A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current full Victorian Driver's Licence and good driving record.
• Working Holiday Visa holders with valid Australian working rights are encouraged to apply.
