Job summary

Tradewind is seeking a committed Christian Education Teacher to join our schools across multiple locations. You will plan, deliver, and review CE lessons for Years 6-12, assess learning, and contribute to the pastoral program.

The role requires a recognised teaching qualification, active church involvement, and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or ability to obtain). A collaborative, values-driven educator is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Qualifications or substantial tertiary study in Theology, Biblical Studies, Christian Education or related discipline would be highly regarded.
• Current Queensland College of Teachers registration, or ability to obtain registration before commencing employment.

Christian Education Teacher (Multiple locations)

A person who is appointed to teach Christian Education must be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church, be a registered teacher or able to successfully apply for registration and be suitable to present the Christian message to young people.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Teach students in Christian Education classes from Year 6-12.


• Take responsibility for the planning, development, implementation, and review of the Christian Education curriculum for an allocated year level, ensuring alignment with the Schools educational and Christian Education program.


• Assess and report constructively on student learning.


• Foster positive and productive relationships with students, families, staff and the community


• Contribute as an integral member of the Christian Ministry Team, led by the Senior Chaplain.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Recognised teaching qualification.


• Qualifications or substantial tertiary study in Theology, Biblical Studies, Christian Education or a closely related discipline would be highly regarded.


• Current Queensland College of Teachers registration, or the ability to obtain registration before commencing employment.
