Job summary

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) is seeking a confident CHPP Electrical Technician to perform electrical maintenance within the Coal Handling Preparation Plant. You will minimise downtime and prioritise health, safety, and the environment while supporting operations.

The role requires electrical trade qualification, NSW electrical supervisor or licence, and 3+ years in fixed plant maintenance. On-site roster, strong teamwork and stakeholder liaison are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with NSW Electrical Supervisor or contractors licence.
• Minimum 3+ years experience in fixed plant operations.
• Experience with coal handling and processing plants.
• HV switching qualification is advantageous.
• Competencies in working at heights / confined space / elevated work platform advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and work autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient assistance to operational equipment.
• Perform electrical fault finding and diagnostics at the CHPP.
• Conduct High voltage switching.
• Inspect, maintain and repair electrical fixed plant in accordance with AS3000 and relevant legislation.
• Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork and company values.
