Job summary

Koko Black is seeking passionate chocolatiers for our afternoon production team to craft premium chocolate range. You’ll prepare fillings and components while ensuring craftsmanship and presentation.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll operate the enrobing line, temper chocolate, and support daily production with a focus on food safety, quality and efficiency. This hands-on role suits those who take pride in chocolate work and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chocolatier, Pastry Chef, Baker or in a commercial food manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge of chocolate production, fillings, tempering and enrobing.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing consistent, high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Making chocolate pralines, bars and products to the highest quality in an efficient manner.
• Preparation of ganache, bases and fillings involving cooking and portioning.
• Tempering of chocolate, hand moulding, panning and enrobing of chocolates.
• Operating equipment and machinery used in the chocolate making process.
• Hand decorating of pralines and chocolate products.
• Complete required production, temperature, allergen and quality checks accurately.
• Ensure correct handling, storage, labelling and rotation of ingredients, fillings and finished products.
• Follow cleaning, hygiene, food safety and safe operating procedures at all times.
• Identify and elevate equipment, production, safety or quality issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area.
• Support practical improvements that reduce waste, downtime and rework.
• Champion Koko Black’s food safety, quality and craftsmanship culture at all times.

We’re seeking passionate, hands-on Chocolatiers to join our afternoon production team and help bring Koko Black’s handcrafted chocolate range to life. Working alongside the team, you’ll prepare quality chocolate products, fillings and components while ensuring consistent craftsmanship and presentation.

Afternoon shift position

3:00pm–11:06pm Monday to Friday

The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for preparing fillings and chocolate components, operating the enrobing line, and supporting the smooth flow of daily production. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, a strong understanding of chocolate work, and a commitment to food safety, quality and efficiency.

You’ll work with the wider production team to meet daily priorities, maintain approved standards and ensure products are prepared, enrobed and finished to specification.
