Job summary

The City of Playford is seeking a dedicated community development professional to lead activation of the Swallowcliffe Children’s Precinct and foster strong partnerships across government, schools, and service providers. You will empower local voices, coordinate events, and monitor outcomes to create lasting benefits for children and families.

In this role you will build relationships with diverse stakeholders, co-design local initiatives, and support collaborative decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in community development, community engagement, social planning, project coordination or a related field.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with diverse community members and partners.
• Experience facilitating groups, workshops, meetings or community consultation activities.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day activation and delivery of the Swallowcliffe Children's Precinct.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, community members and key stakeholders.
• Facilitate community engagement activities that capture local voices and support community-led action.
• Support and strengthen partnerships across government, education, health and community sectors.
• Coordinate and support community events, workshops and initiatives.
• Facilitate meetings and working groups and contribute to collective decision-making processes.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen community participation, leadership and collaboration.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on community initiatives and outcomes.
• Contribute to strategic planning, project delivery and continuous improvement activities.
• Advocate for community priorities and support initiatives that improve outcomes for children and families.
